Ships have names like Paradise, elation, freedom, celebration, which assure you a time of your life. Carnival Cruise lines fleet comprises of Holiday class, Fantasy class, Destiny class, Conquest class, Spirit class, Splendor class, Triumph class and Dream class. The Conquest class has longer length, though the design is same as the destiny class and due to this, the former has more facilities on offer. Conquest class ships, Carnival Valor and Carnival Freedom have a seaside theatre near the main pool. Carnival Paradise was the first ship which was completely smoke free. Now, it allows guests to smoke in casinos and at bars but still smoking is not allowed in rooms and public places. Carnival Splendor, their biggest ship till date, is also their most innovative and offers facilities which other ships of the fleet do not have. The fantasy class ships are set out for 3- 5 day cruises.

As these Carnival Cruise ships offer a range of activities onboard from kids to adults, they are called the fun ships. Basic characteristics common to all cruise ships are- a waterslide which opens into the main pool, sushi bar, a camp carnival for children, and  a red white and blue funnel, which is trademark of carnival cruise lines. Usually, a dining area is beneath it. All the ships have more than eight decks and passenger capacity of ships is from 1500 to almost 3000 passengers.
